My Values

Readers and listeners of my books and stories will know that I have had to cope with various types and levels of adversity in every stage of my life. 

My wife would tell you that over the years of adversity, I often became obsessive with “ good shall prevail”. 

When things were stacked up against us and there seemed no way out, she often lost her temper with me and my faith! But we always eventually won. 

I have encountered it so many times and can honestly tell you that, 

always provided that you are honest and truthful never mind how those who are set against you treat you, and what bad things they do to you, then you will win in the end. 

You need to have faith in that and faith in yourself and everything you stand for.

My Skills 

 Originally a newspaperman (of the old school), Keith has also encountered life in the guise of a motor car and heavy commercial vehicle salesman, “general line salesman” for the Firestone Tyre and Rubber Company, transport manager, and finally as a mobile crane driver before returning to newspapers as a photojournalist in the 1980’s. 

 More recently (in 1988), he began the Northcote Heavy Horse Centre ( a unique enthralling and thrilling experience for all ages) in rural Lincolnshire....in partnership with his wife Ruth (a Lincolnshire lass). 

 Keith is a confirmed Christian and BBC Television “Songs of Praise” visited the Centre in 1995. 
 

Keith retired in 2008 after snapping his Achilles tendon and is continuing his lifetime as a “raconteur” with a series of books and audio stories illustrating his unusual way of life! 

My Story

Keith Sanders, a “Yorkshireman”, was nominated in the 1990’s for an entry in the Martin Miller reference journal “BEST OF BRITISH MEN”. 

 Keith is an authority on the behaviour of animals...particularly Horses...and was ‘press ganged’ into the animal way of life by his family in about 1975.   

 At the  Northcote Heavy Horse Centre “today” (a Registered Charity and sanctuary for horses needing special care) the animals are encouraged to develop their own characters. They provide the entertainment for several thousand visitors every year. 

 Sammy the Shire Horse and his friends story books for children, were the first books and  went into print in 1993 together with a very much “ahead of its time” pair of audio books with identical words plus sound effects and music. These are all  re released as e books and audio downloads.
